Que pasa?

I'm a Spanish Civil War buff. An ¡aficianado! if you like, but certainly no expert. I leave others to bask in that two-edged sobriquet. Over the past couple of years, people have asked me to reprise my SCW website as interest mounted in wargaming circles for gaming the SCW, but the time was never right for me.

You have Peter Frost, a new miniatures designer of The Late Queen (http://www.thelatequeen.com/) to thank for this blog. I haven't gamed the SCW in several years, leaving my 15mm forces to languish in a drawer, when along comes Peter with some truly excellent SCW miniatures.

With blizzards whipping across the valley outside, my minds eye can see Italian tankettes forcing their way across the frozen ground, unaware they are about to meet the Italian anti-fascists from the Garibaldi battalion of the XII International Brigade. With Peter's new Italian C.T.V. & other miniatures, the time is right to begin again and complete my vision of the Battle of Guadalajara on the tabletop.

Some honesty. This blog is not for you. It's for me. Something I need to do right now.
Over the coming days, weeks and months I will share with my thoughts, knowledge and experience. With practical tips on researching, collecting and wargaming the Spanish Civil War, as I effectively start again from scratch.

There will be uniform & painting guides, TOE's & Orbats, scenarios, gaming and research links, reviews and advice on both appropriate minis and models, scenarios. And, opinion; oh yes, plenty of that.

Whether you game in 15, 20 or 28mm, I'd be pleased if you care to join me on this journey.

Cheers
Mark

Good start Mark and welcome back to the WWW.

And you are right...do it for yourself, and everything will be fine.
